Me voilà de retour après une semaine de voyage sur la côte Est de Madagascar . I am back after a week of traveling on the east coast of Madagascar. Et je n'ai pas résisté à l'envie de vous écrire un petit carnet de voyage accompagné de quelques photos - et une vidéo! And I could not resist the urge to write you a small travel book with a few photos - and video!
Le trajet The journey
A Madagascar, le moyen de transport le plus répandu et le plus économique pour les longs voyages est le taxi brousse , un minibus d'une quinzaine de places. In Madagascar, the means of transport most popular and most economical for long trips is the bush taxi, a minibus with a dozen seats. Mais il ne faut pas être trop pressé, l'aller nous a pris presque 20 heures de Antananarivo à Mananjary (prononcez mananzary), pour environ 500km. But do not be too hasty, the move took us almost 20 hours of Antananarivo Mananjary (pronounced mananzary), approximately 500km.
Presque la totalité du parcours est montagneux . Almost the entire route is mountainous. Et les routes sont plutôt étroites. And the roads are rather narrow. Je salue quand même la rénovation de la route par le nouveau gouvernement, qui facilite le trajet. I still welcome the renovation of the road by the new government, which facilitates the journey. Les hauts plateaux The Highlands
Sur le bord de la route, on rencontre souvent de petits magasins : marchands de fruits et légumes, magasins artisanaux, marchands de charbon. Dans les hauts plateaux, on découvre des paysages hauts en couleur . In the highlands, we discover colorful landscapes. Mananjary Mananjary
Pas de doute, on est bien arrivés No doubt, it is arrived 
Madagascar est un des derniers pays où l'on pratique encore la tractation humaine. Madagascar is one of the few countries where people still practice the human dealings. Aussi bien pour les personnes que pour les marchandises. For both people and goods. J'ai même trouvé un pousse pousse qui porte mon prénom : I even found a rickshaw that carries my name:
Sambatra est une grande fête unique en son genre où les garçons de Mananjara se font circoncire collectivement. Sambatra is a unique celebration of its kind where boys are circumcised Mananjara collectively. Cette cérémonie est une grande étape pour les garçons malgaches qui deviennent ainsi des hommes. This ceremony is a milestone for both boys and Malagasy who become men. Elle a lieu tous les 7 ans, c'est donc une manifestation attendue de longue date où l'on vient de loin pour faire la fête pendant 4 semaines. It takes place every 7 years, so it is a long awaited event date where we come from afar to celebrate for 4 weeks. La prochaine aura lieu en septembre cette année. The next will take place in September this year.
La fête nationale National Day
Le 26 juin, c'est la fête de l' indépendance à Madagascar. June 26 is the feast of the independence in Madagascar. A cette occasion, de nombreuses troupes d'enfants de Mananjary dansent et reçoivent en cadeau quelques friandises ou petits billets. La pêche Fishing
Dans l'estuaire de Mananjary, les pêcheurs profitent de l'abondance de poissons et de crevettes : In Mananjary estuary, anglers enjoy the abundance of fish and shrimp:
Les fameuses crevettes géantes de Madagascar côtoient ici une magnifique dorade : The famous giant Madagascar prawns alongside a beautiful dorado here:
Sur la plage, la saison se prêtait bien à la pêche des merlans géants , des poissons de 20 kgs. On the beach, the season was well suited to fishing for whiting giant fish of 20 kgs. Ce pêcheur venait d'ailleurs d'en attraper un. This fisherman had also to catch one. Quand on veut remonter un poisson qui pèse la moitié de son poids, mieux vaut avoir un ami sous la main! When one wants to back a fish that weighs half of its weight, it is better to have a friend at hand!
Quelques orchidées Some orchids
Les orchidées embellissent de nombreux jardins à Mananjary. The orchids adorn many gardens Mananjary. Ces plantes magnifiques poussent en général sur des arbres ou des souches d'arbre. These magnificent plants usually grow on trees or tree stumps.
Le canal des pangalanes The channel Pangalanes
Le canal des pangalanes est un réseau d'étangs reliés qui longent la côte Est de Madagascar sur 700km. The channel Pangalanes is a network of connected ponds along the east coast of Madagascar at 700km. Ce sont les français qui entreprirent, à la fin des années 1940, de réunir cette succession d'estuaires afin d'en faire une voie navigable, puisque la navigation sur l'Océan Indien reste dangereuse. Le parc national de Ranomafana The National Park Ranomafana
Comme il faisait nuit à l'aller lorsque nous sommes passés à Ranomafana, nous avons fait une halte au retour. As it was dark to go when we moved to Ranomafana, we made a stop at the back.
Le village de Ranomafana , en bas du parc naturel, est un haut lieu touristique de Madagascar. The village of Ranomafana, below the park is a tourist mecca of Madagascar. Il offre des eaux chaudes naturelles (d'où le nom ranomafana : rano=eau ; mafana=chaud) et les colons français en firent un centre thermal. It offers natural hot waters (hence the name Ranomafana: rano = water; Mafana = hot) and the French made it a spa.
Le parc de ranomafana , créé en 1991, offre une forêt humide et dense qui s'accroche au relief et dévale la vallée. Park Ranomafana, created in 1991, offers a dense rainforest that clings to the terrain and rolling down the valley. Sur une superficie de 40 000Ha , entre 600 et 1400m d'altitude, on peut y observer une diversité animale et végétale de choix, dont 12 espèces de lémuriens et des centaines de variétés d'orchidées. On an area of 40 000ha, between 600 and 1400m above sea level, one can observe a diversity of animal and vegetable choices, including 12 species of lemurs and hundreds of varieties of orchids.
Sachant que la forêt primaire de Madagascar continue à disparaître, alors qu'elle est déjà en lambeaux, ça vaut le coup de la visiter. Ranomena , une imposante chute s'offre à nous dans les hauteurs de Ranomafana. Ranomena a waterfalls before us in the heights of Ranomafana. Mon Grand Pere a fait les résau d' eau de Mananjary, le chateau existe toujours, il a également construit l'ensmble des ponts reliant TANA à ANTSIRABE; My grandfather has made the street-network of water Mananjary, the castle still exists, he also built the bridges connecting ensmble TANA in Antsirabe;
